| Born in 1977, Simon grew up in the English Peak District. Here he spent his formative years meeting the animals in the local woods. Their interesting appearance and behaviour, was to be the main influence in his work. | ||
| In 1996 Simon completed his art foundation studies at the Loughborough College of Art and Design. |  |
After this, in 1999, he graduated from the Leeds Metropolitan University with a BA (hons) in Fine Art. |
| On completing his degree Simon won University Faculty Purchase Prize. He is now based in Leeds, where he is a full-time artist. | ||
